The Psychiatry Department of Q.I.H through its International Linkage Programme organized a Lecture on “Recognize Depression and Reconnect Treatment Goal” on 27 th September 2018. Dr Bjarke Ebert from Denmark delivered the lecture. Mental Health is equally important as the psychical health and all the professionals in the health sector alongwith media should play their role in raising public awareness about mental illness and its treatment. More than 350 million people suffer from depression which is an alarming figure. One in five people are likely to get depressed at some point in life and women are more affected than the men. He also highlighted the treatment options being offered to the patients around the world.
