Eating a well balanced and healthy food can not only help reduce or maintain weight but also plays a vital role in reducing the risk of many chronic diseases including diabetes. Month of March is globally marked as Nutrition Awareness Month. On this occasion Quaid e Azam International Hospital Islamabad organized a seminar with the theme "Put Your Best Fork Forward" to create awareness about healthy food for healthy life. Seminar was largely attended by doctors, nutritionists, dietitians, paramedic staff, students and patients from the hospitals and the educational institutions of the twin cities.
Awareness lectures were delivered by the prominent Doctors and Nutritionists of Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital and from the contemporary facilities. Among them were Dr. Nadeem Zia Abbasi, Dr. Farah Qadir and Dr. Rizzan Khan.
In his concluding Speech Dr. Shaukat Ali Bangash Founder and CEO of Q.I.H highlighted the importance of healthy and balanced food especially for the patients. He appreciated the role played by the Nutrition Department of Q.I.H in spreading the awareness among the masses.
In the end special souvenirs were distributed among the Guest speakers.
