The first successful kidney transplant has been performed in Quaid-e- Azam International Hospital (Q.I.H) of Federal Capital and it was conducted by a team of doctors led by Brig. Dr. Waqar Azeem Niaz Urologist & transplant surgeon.
Speaking after the completion of successful Transplant, Brig. Dr. Waqar Azeem Niaz the transplant surgeon of the Q.I.H said that dialysis is not a permanent solution for the severe kidney diseases patients, however, getting kidney transplant completely changes the lives of kidney patients and they live normal life.
Dr. Shaukat Ali Bangash, Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) of the Q.I.H congratulated Brig. Dr. Waqar Azeem Naiz and his team on this landmark success and expressed hope that kidney transplant patients will benefit out of this excellent facility. The surgery was performed last week and the patient has recovered at fast pace.
